This series was inspired by the Supreme’s Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade. Each painting was modeled after an historic image and represents some of the ways in which women have been controlled and invented by men. This is a new, continuing series.
“Lace” is inspired by Rembrandt’s Portrait of a Woman. This piece was juried into “Women Artists Making Their Mark,” at the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, jurors Donna Seager and Suzanne Gray, 2022.
